When I start mrtg, I get the following errors: 

2008-07-01 23:13:05 -- Started mrtg with config '/d/home/jeffs/mrtg/mrtg.cfg'
2008-07-01 23:13:05 -- Argument "v4only" isn't numeric in int at /usr/share/perl5/SNMP_Session.pm line 183.
2008-07-01 23:13:06 -- backoff (v4only) must be a number >= 1.0 at /usr/share/perl5/SNMP_util.pm line 465

I am running ubuntu 7.10 which has versin 1.08 of SNMP_Session.pm and version 1.06 of SNMP_util.pm. They are part of Package: libsnmp-session-perl Version 1.08-1. mrtg itself is version 2.14.7-2ubuntu1

What I would like is a little guidance on how to instrument SNMP_Session.pm and SNMP_util.pm to give you some more helpful diagnostic information.

try 2.17.0 should be fixed there.
